【参考译文】Taken as a whole, human culture is the product of the merging of and exchange between the culture of all nations and nationalities. Modern international cultural exchange goes directly and indirectly with its scale, content, form and method being unheard of before.
Communication promotes development. A country, or a nation, if not in a state of isolation for a long period for reasons either subjective or objective, will benefit from this exchange to a greater or less extent.
In fact, an intrinsic culture absolutely immune to foreign influence is non-existent. A well-known foreign historian once said: “The civilization of any country is much more the product of external influences than of native invention. Very little would remain of English culture if all its elements which have a foreign origin or bears some foreign influence were eliminated.”
