Teachers and Students Should Unite
At present, students merely seem to search, copy and paste information from the Internet to finish their assignments. Some papers are even found to be the original version without the slightest changes. Teachers and experts want to find a way to curb this situation. In my perspective, to stop the spread of this phenomenon, both teachers and students should be involved.
First of all, teachers should give more innovative assignments, calling for the creation of students. In this way, students may have the curiosity to finish the task, instead of just cutting and pasting information from the Internet. For instance, one teacher always asks her students to do the presentation on class. In order to finish the task, the students have to find various resources, including surfing on the Internet. However, there is no way to paste information in that students are required to do the performance by themselves. Consequently, the students are able to master the knowledge, and broaden the horizon at the same time.
Moreover, people ought to pay attention to the moral education of students. Students should be taught to be honest. It is morally wrong and shameful to steal other people's work. Therefore, it is wise for school authorities to open moral courses for students, teaching them how to comply with the social princk pies. Only in this way can the situation of "cut and paste" information be eliminated completely.
To sum up, it is wrong for students to cut and paste information from the Internet. In the long run, it is students who are the victims, because they acquire little knowledge in learning. To curb this phenome¬non, not only the teachers should improve the quality of assignments, but the students ought to strength¬en the awareness of honesty as well. I believe, through those methods, that the situation is bound to im¬prove.
