In recent years, people find it is increasingly difficult for college graduates to find jobs and that the unemployment rate of young people is increasing year by year, which has caught a lot of people’s attention.
There are several main reasons causing this situation. First, with the increasing number of college graduates, the imbalance between supply and demand appears in the talent market. Second, the current education system places too much emphasis on imparting theoretical knowledge and too little on imparting practical skills. Moreover, many employers are not willing to recruit fresh graduates without practical work experience. Thirdly, many college graduates expect too much from a good career and always want to find a relaxing, well-paid and decent job instead of a hard job with little money.
It is widely accepted that, in order to reverse this employment situation, the government should encourage college graduates to work in rural and remote areas where talents are more needed. Also, college students should acquire more practical skills during their schooling and should be psychologically prepared to start in a tough low-income position. It is believed that the employment problems faced by college graduates will be solved with the right guidance and help.
