As is clearly depicted in the picture, in front of a desktop sits a young boy who is staring at the screen of a computer and selecting the curriculum through the system of selecting courses.
Obviously, a trace of hesitancy showed in his eyes.He is considering whether to choose the courses which are high scored, easily passed with less homework, or to choose those that include the emphasis of innovation, the updating of knowledge and the level of difficulty.Apparently, it is how to make the best courses for college students that is what the author intends to convey to us.
Given the fact that students vary in their intelligence and preference, it is necessary to provide different courses that cater to students’ needs. It is inevitable that the focus of courses differs dramatically and that some courses are less difficult than others. Compared with easy y electives, courses that are difficult tend to offer students in-depth knowledge and better exploit their talent. However, it does not mean that challenging courses are a better choice because not all students are capable of dealing with such courses.
After what we have discussed above, I suggest students who have little time for electives and those who just want to get credits for graduation should choose the easier courses, whereas those who have more leisure time and who want to improve and challenge yourself to learn something creative should attend the difficult ones.
