China has over 20m empty-nest youths aged 20 to 39, and most of them live in major cities, according to a recent survey.
Empty-nest youths are single young people who choose to live alone. The majority keep a well-paid job in metropolis, away from their hometown. Among solitary residents, empty-nest youths’ population salary before the end of the month and some even are slightly in debt for they are more inclined to spend money on better food, high-quality clothes and digital products.
