【参考译文】The problem facing our world is that our economy has been adhering to a short-sighted approach to producing and consuming products as cheaply as possible, which has led to a linear economic model based on quick use, disposal and replacement of good. To maintain this economic model requires an inexhaustible supply of resources at our fingertips and infinite space for waste, which is obviously impossible. In order to find a sustainable alternative, we simply need to learn from nature, where everything is fully utilized. For example, the life cycles of species in forests are perfectly coordinated with the changing of the seasons. This guarantees a certain degree of resilience and continuity of life. Our economic life should also strive to emulate and build a circular economic system.
