How to Prevent Traffic Jam
Traffic jam, a terrible word which nowadays we modern people have got used to using or hearing. Indeed, traffic jam is a serious problem in most cities today. There is even a popular saying like “The road is a huge parking lot”. We do not satisfy with the traffic situation now. However, how can we solve these intractable problems?
In the past, the increasing of personal cars was treated as the development of economy, even until now，this number in some regions is still used to prove the level of the development of economy. The number is increasing rapidly, meanwhile the stress to the traffic is increasing too. Therefore, controlling the number of cars and reducing the amount of cars as large as possible seems to be the most effective way to solve the traffic jam. In order to control or reduce the number, the matter of primary importance is that we have to find an appropriate vehicle to replace cars. Buses, subway are all right tools to replace cars. If these are too crowded, we can try bicycles or even our feet. Not long ago, an action called “Go to work by bike” was initiated in Paris. This action had a good effect. Thus, we can absolutely follow the example and choose bicycle riding, this simple and healthy way instead of cars when we are staying out. Maybe when someday we come to know that riding a bike is an interesting sport, we will have got away from the bother of getting stuck in the traffic jam.
Another important factor to keep away from traffic jam is to observe the traffic regulations. Traffic safety is everybody’s business. A lot of people disregard traffic signals and rules. So many people violate traffic regulations that we cannot put too much emphasis on the importance of traffic safety. Next time when you are diving on the street, look around and see if ignorance of regulations happens.
