Man has a promising future
The question, “Has man a future?”, makes many people think deeply for years without a convincing general answer. As an optimist, I still maintain hope for the future of our humans.
First and foremost, artificial intelligence is created by humans. All the actions are predetermined by the programmer, which means AI won’t do any irrational actions without orders. As the controller and users of AI, we won’t lose existence and it’s humans who determine what the future will be like if we can regulate our own behaviors. Secondly, we are eager to create a promising future. The invention of anything in the world is meant to improve people’s lives, including AI. In most people’s minds, AI is merely a tool rather than a weapon. Even if it has the possibility of endangering people’s lives, mankind will use it without bringing devastating disasters to the world. The reality is that having been through decades of speculation about whether we are doomed because of nuclear weapons, we are still here, and we are still living and breathing.
To put it in a nutshell, granted that we are in an era filled with challenges and changes, our promising future will be in sight as long as we struggle to make it possible.
