Nowadays, web-shopping plays a more and more important role in our daily life. With less money, we can buy a lot of goods of high quality through internet without the trouble of going to the stores ourselves. Therefore, it is safe to say that web-shopping is quite convenient.

Despite its advantages, web-shopping also has many disadvantages. For people who like buying staff through internet, sometimes web-shopping is a bait to lead them to a cheating trap.

The web-sellers may receive their money but do not send back the products. It also happens that people may receive defect goods.

As new science and high-tech develops, web-shopping will become a dominant way of buy-ing goods provided that it is properly managed and controlled. Web-shopping will achieve great prosperity because it is beneficial for both the web-sellers and the consumers.

With the development of economy, people’s living standard has been enormously improved. Accordingly, supermarkets and department stores are springing up like mushrooms. Every day, especially at weekends, crowds of shoppers flock there and smilingly come out with rich harvests.

Both supermarkets and department stores have their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, it is always very convenient for you to buy daily necessities in supermarkets whereas you may find it hard to buy sophisticated and major items, such as refrigerators, air-conditioners and computers. In contrast, department stores are filled with top-quality items and famous brands of clothes or shoes while daily necessities are extremely expensive there.

When it comes to me, I do a lot of shopping in the supermarket for following reasons. Firstly, it is very convenient to do shopping there. What you need do is walk your handcart along the aisles and take anything you need from the shelve8 to fill your cart. Secondly, the market provides a bumper variety of goods. Food, clothes, daily articles and drinks are within your arm's reach. Thirdly, the environment is clean and comfortable with all-year-round ventilation and air-condition. Fourthly, payment is made easily, either in cash or with a card. And you don't have to wait long. Fifthly, often, small gifts like soft toys, beauty-parlour coupons and instant lucky draws are offered to customers.

First of all, it is an indisputable fact that the Internet has revolutionized the way we communicate. These incredibly useful and powerful tools of communication facilitate both contact with loved ones in faraway places and global trade.
Moreover, the Internet has placed the entire world (and all of the information in it) at our fingertips. In earlier times, conducting research entailed long hours searching library shelves. Now, however, the same information can be accessed at the click of a button. Admittedly, not all of the information available on the Internet is reliable or helpful-there is a vast amount of material online that some would consider offensive or dangerous, ranging from pornography to instructions on how to make bombs. Nonetheless, I would contend that this free flow of information has generally been a very positive development.
By way of conclusion, I once again reaffirm my position that the Internet has had a positive impact on modern life because of its influences on communication and the flow of information.

Nowadays, many people spend a lot of time surfing the virtual world, claiming that the Internet can open up a rich and colorful world for them. What is more, people may get medical help or even vote on Internet. 　　

Behind all this glowing talk, however, are some problems. Internet makes people passive by stopping them making their own entertainment. So much so that when there is a breakdown or jam, people may find that World Wide Web turns into World Wide Wait. What is worse, some children have access to the scenes of violence and sex. Apart from these, it can be affected by viruses and hackers.

In my opinion, we should not only handle its problems but also exploit its potential as well. With proper management of Internet people ought to experience more fruits of the information revolution. All the wisdom of the ages, all the information that has enlightened mankind for centuries, should be available to us with the healthy development of Internet.

Mobile phones are the main invention of modern technology. If we look at our society, we can see that all kinds of people are using mobile phones. Maybe they have many advantages, but they also experience drawbacks.

Scientists found that mobile phones can cause brain cancer. If you talk for so many hours, you are going to have headache and ear problems. Secondly, the mobile phone stimulates home for the high cost of communication. If you are in 3-membered family, you would spend a lot of money on mobile phone. Furthermore, the inappropriate use of mobile phones could be bothersome. For example, it is very inappropriate to hear a mobile phone ringing during a formal conversation, during a lesson, in a library or in a cinema. Finally, mobile phones waste people too much time. An American survey shows that teenagers spend an average of 2 hours sending messages every day.

In conclusion, there are some benefits and drawbacks to mobile phones. Personally, I don’t like mobile phones very much, but I need to use them. In my opinion, mobile phones are good only if you use them correctly and politely, as in this case, all technology is beneficial.
